Durante quest’ultimo periodo abbiamo effettuato vari Aggiornamenti Instagram e Sistemi di Controllo per rispondere agli aggiornamenti che Instagram ha effettuato vari aggiornamenti di sistema, andando a modificare il funzionamento delle ricerche Follower, Following, ed Hashtag.

Ci siamo messi al lavoro per produrre il prima possibile una serie di Aggiornamenti Instagram e Sistemi di Controllo che risolvessero le problematiche, e migliorassero la qualità dei controlli.

Aggiornamenti Instagram e Sistemi di Controllo: Sistemi di Ricerca Followers e Following

Durante questi ultimi aggiornamenti, instagram ha provocato due tipologie di errore legate alla ricerca nella lista dei seguiti / seguaci di ciascun profilo.

Abbiamo risolto le seguenti problematiche causate dalle tecnologie sfruttate da instagram:

  • Ricerca di usernames più lunghi di 20 caratteri (solo versione web)
  • Usernames che terminano con . seguito da numeri (versione web ed app)

La ricerca di usernames più lunghi di 20 caratteri

Nella versione web di Instagram, cercando usernames più lunghi di 20 caratteri all’interno della lista Followers o quella Following, Instagram restituiva “nessun risultato” in qualsiasi caso, nonostante il profilo ci fosse ed esistesse correttamente all’interno della lista.

Abbiamo risolto la problematica seguendo una meccanica di tagli e ricerche incrociate, che ci permettono di trovare qualsiasi utente, indipendentemente dalla lunghezza del suo username.

Ricerca di usernames che terminano con . seguito da numeri

Sia nella versione Web, sia nell’applicazione, cercando all’interno della lista seguiti/seguaci di un profilo un username che termina con un . seguito da numeri (ad esempio: alexdev.443), instagram restituisce “nessun risultato” nella ricerca, nonostante il profilo esista e sia presente all’interno di tale lista.

Abbiamo risolto la problematica tramite una serie di query regex che ci permettono di gestire ogni casistica, e trovare qualsiasi tipo di username.

Aggiornamenti Instagram e Sistemi di Controllo: Aggiornamento Bot di Controllo Hashtag

Abbiamo aggiornato il nostro Bot di Controllo Hashtag per poter sfruttare la nuova ricerca by query realizzata da Instagram per la sua versione Web.

Questa nuova tipologia di ricerca ci permette di ottenere in maniera più completa e stabile la lista di tutte le foto appartenenti all’hashtag, anche superando le 1000 foto, e riducendo notevolmente le possibilità d’errore.

Abbiamo inoltre integrato una nuova funzionalità per poter riattivare automaticamente le richieste hashtag in caso di errore imprevisto (hashtag vuoto, instagram offline, o situazioni medesime).

Centralized Scraping, Instagram and Twitter APIs – DevLog April 2023
